two flower girls, who carries what?
I have two flower girls, my sister in law to be who is 9 and my niece who is 4.
My son (the ring bearer) is 2 so his "auntie" will escort him down the aisle before my niece who will be tossing petals.
I don't know if I should have my SIL hold a few flowers or a basket with petals (since she will be holding his hand).
Sorry but that 9 year old is way too old to be a flower girl, but the idea of having her escort the 2 year old ring bearer is a wonderful way to include her in the procession. As it is she is not a flowergirl but the escort of the ringbearer. She does not carry anything, She walks with the little boy and shepards him down the aisle. She will have her hands full with him and it would make no sense for her to be carrying anything. If she has a basket of flower petals, how is she gonna toss them AND hold on to the boy? If she does not toss the petals, what is the point of having them? See what I mean. Let your niece toss the flower petals and let "auntie" take care of her little charge.
