When NBA players travel to away games do they sleep on hotel beds?
i would expect that some of them would not fit on the mattresses in the hotel room. Do they push together two twin beds or something? two queens? sleeping bag?
im thinking this could factor into the "home court advantage" because I for one need a good nights sleep before any big day
This used to be a real problem for road teams. However, when Manute Bol came into the league, Washington called the road hotels they would be staying in and told them about his height in advance. Many of the hotels brought in special order beds. Other hotels set up extensions in advance for him. I guess that for many luxury hotels that serve sports teams make similar accommodations when NBA teams are going to be staying there. It makes sense to make the short-term investment if you can continue to get teams staying in your hotel year after year.
