My new computer arrived less than 24 hours ago and I already want to throw it out of the window... HELP!!!?
My new computer turned up yesterday and I'm having problems... Its spec is like this... Mesh Elite Prestige Duo with 2.4Ghz Intel Quad Core, 4GB Memory (RAM), 768MB NVIDIA GeForce graphics card, 500GB Hard drive. Windows Vista Home Premium.
I first turned it on and gave the computer its name etc after all the prompts. 5 mins later when I asked it to shut down, it stayed on "shut down" screen for 20 mins before I switched it off.
Turned it on later, all was fine.... Installed MS Flight Simulator X.
Everytime I load the game up, it says the running programme is not compatible with certain elements of windows, and automatically puts it onto Vista Basic colour settings before running the game.
I have sat down to play the game a few times over the last few hours and i've had a mixture of the following (usually during play)...
Bluescreen error message which then shuts down and restarts computer.
Random exit from game, and back to Windows.
Game freezes.
Any Ideas???
It may not necessarily be vista...it ran perfect when I was beta testing it on my pc, the only drawback is only ONE of my programs was not compatible...so thats not bad. I would uninstall the game completely and then reinstall it. There could have been a hiccup when it installed. If it still does that afterward, I would call the pc maker support to report it and see what can be done.
