How to remove speaker ring with double sided tape?
Got 2 15 Rockford Fosgate speakers that has the speaker rings and they are busted. I went to try to take them off and they are secured to the speaker by double sided tape and it is trying to rip the speaker material off with it. Is there anything I can use to get it to release? Paint thinner, alcohol, TURPENTINE!!! Thanks
Unless you know what you're doing replacing those foam edges, you're probably better off buying new drivers (woofers). If you don't get them on exactly right, it could cause the speaker cones to not move perfectly in and out, resulting in an audible distortion (a buzzing at high volume, like a blown speaker).
