Where do I put the 4 pin connector?
In my custom built computer, I have a Intel Core 2 Duo E4600. The power supply has a 20 pin connector but the Motherboard has a 24 pin input, the power supply also has two 4-pin connectors which both fit in the extra 4 pins on the motherboard. Do I connect one there with the 20 pin and put the other 4-pin for the CPU? Or does my CPU even need the second 4-pin connector?
install the 20 pin conector to the motherboard it will be fine and not require the extra 4 pins, Re the two 4 pin connectors from the psu i suspect that one of them may slide onto the the 20 pin strip but if it doesnt then dont use it, the Black and yellow 4 pin connector connects to the 12v socket on the motherboard
