My brother tells me Paul was an Atheist. Is he correct?
My brother is a strong-minded Christian, and I a strong-minded Atheist. Unfortunately, he being older than I and in college, he has been studying philosophy, and is able to thrash me in an argument any day. Once, I brought up the point that all of the Biblical authors are biased in favour of Christianity, so it is much like the Bayeux tapestry, and entirely one-sided interpretation of events. He quickly shot down this argument, refuting that Paul of the Bible was an atheist.
This came as a surprise to me. Perhaps someone could elaborate on my brother's point?
Paul in his own words was a Pharisee, before his conversion. Judaism and Christianity both believe there is a God. Have your brother prove his point. Anyone can say anything, it is just talk until they prove it.
