Brunswick Blue
Is 78s jazz with these labels worth anything?

HMV label Decca Parlaphone Voralion Columbia Circle Imperial Bosworth Vogue Registration swing-Savoie Mercury Brunswick Regal Blue Star London Melodisc Columbia Conroy Rex Belton MGM Theme Music Elite Solitaire Embassy Tempo Special Master Sound System Edison Bell Radio

Hello It's not easy to answer because it really depends on HMV ---> generally not very well, there are exceptions. However, there HMVs English, where the original was used Stamper and Victor Victor (U.S.) has not made a recording. Example: Lovable by Paul Whiteman Orchestra (American) Vocalion: It depends on the music on it. Vocalis with numbers between 15500 to 15999 are generally extremely valuable (300 dollars). There are also series of races known as 1000-1500, which are usually very valuable. Blue Vocalis are generally not useful. If the blue Vocalion is not jazz, but the blues (like those of Robert Johnson -> very valuable) (American) Columbia: Again ... It depends on the music. Columbias red label are not valid. Black label Columbias Vivatonal can be quite valuabe, particularly race of the series (Series Race usually means black music made primarily by African-Americans to predominantly African Americans) Intercom: Parlophone Americans are usually around 75 Dollars. English Doorphones can be useful, but not really swing the series itself. Older intercom with labels large (purple, red, black) are about 50-100 dollars. It depends again what is on them. Decca: Usually not valuable. However, there are some exceptions. But generally, really nothing special. Circle: No Vogue: Vogue is not valuabe. There are so-called disk image 12 Vogue. "Records are paid between prices 50 dollars to 1500 dollars, but I guess you do not mean the imperial .. Usually not at all precious Bosworth: Swing Nothing special: Nan (American) Brunswick: It depends again. Series Race 7000-7300 very rare and valuable, at least 200 dollars. Usually a record Brunswick is between $ 5 and $ 250, according to the Savoy, artist: Can be valuable. Especially those with Charlie Parker Mercury: Nope Blue Star: Nope Regal: Usually not London: Not at all Melodisc: Nope Rex: Nope Belton: Nope all others except Edison Bell Radio: There are some rare materials from them. *** If I look at the labels you mention here, you may have a collection of recordings of late 1940s until the mid-fifties. These 78's are generally not of value. The value of a 78 rpm disc depends mainly on the artist (s) on the back. Usually, these artists are not known to the general public is the first work of a famous musician. Besides, the state of play is extremely important for the evaluation of a record 78 towers. Popular music is usually not of value. Early blues records (1920-circa 1935) can be extremely useful (up to 6000 dollars for super nice copy of Robert Johnson). Course records themselves are usually very valuable. In jazz, it really depends on what you have. Usually, 78 files down no later than 1935 are not very useful. Rock'n Roll and early example of a country from the beginning of the Sun label (Elvis) are extremely valuable. This book could be a help: However, the values, there is sometimes a little too low. If you have specific questions about certain issues, you can send me an email. I'll try to help.
