Is it safe to run 3 packs of the pill, one after the other without a break?
so that I just have a break every 63 days for 7 days?
I have quite painful periods sometimes and would like to be able to do this. I've run 2 packs like this and then taken a break but I'd like to leave it a bit longer if I can without affecting my fertility for the long term, when we decide to have children.
Like any other medication; take as prescribed! But, with some contraceptive pills, you can take it for one, two, maybe 3 months without having a break, but I would personally suggest that you have a word with your G.P. first. If you are having painful periods etc., maybe he/she could suggest another pill that may be more suitable and ease that; perhaps the contraceptive injection may be an option.
Failing all that, cross your legs; tell your hubby "not bloody likely"; combat his "ardour" by giving him a slap (not to 'ard) on his bits - they won't want to get 'arder; then go to bed with a hot-water bottle and a couple of paracetamol every 4 weeks and make sure he knows just how much "PAIN" and even MORE PAIN!!!!! you are in! Let him nurse you for a week (8-10days if you think you can wing it!), and believe me, after 6 months of that, you won't have to worry about taking the pill for 3 months at a time! He'll be too bloody scared to go near you! (Just make a miraculous recovery when you want children!).

Seriously, have a word with your G.P. or Family Planning Clinic - it's better to be safe than sorry! There are pills, I've heard, that you do take all the time, and have little or no bleeding - just ask - you have nothing to lose by asking - do things wrong, and you might just lose your chance to have children!
