how do i fix a plumbing leak on brass / copper solder joint?
I soldered a copper coupling into a brass valve in vertical position against gravity... now it is leaking. Please recommend how to fix it?
I just did this in our restaurant. If it's a pipe that doesn't have a lot of pressure running through it (less than 100 psi.) then try this:
Get some radiator repair compound from a auto-parts store (the kind that comes in a little roll that you have to mix by squishing together).
Prepare enough to wrap around the entire joint or pipe, wrap it, let it set (about an hour) and voila, fixed leak.
