History of the American flag
"The American flag" is the name commonly used to flag officially sanctioned Untied States of America. The flag is designed with thirteen stripes alternating between red and white. The upper left shows a dark blue rectangle that is filled with 50 white stars. These white stars alternate between rows of five stars and rows of six. There are nine rows of stars. No matter where you go in the world, the striking design the American flag is recognized by all and reminds people of American values and lifestyle.
The thirteen red and white lines on the flag are representative of the original thirteen colonies rebelled against the British and became the first 13 states of the USA The current fifty U.S. states are represented in the fifty white stars on the flag. Due to the power of these symbols, the flag is often called "The Stars and Stripes." It is also called the Star-Spangled Banner, now known as the American national anthem which reference to the flag. But today, the "Star Spangled Banner" the term refers more to the national anthem for flag it references.
The current design of the American flag that offers fifty stars was designed in 1959 around the time that Alaska and Hawaii were admitted to the Union as states open. It was designed by high school student, Robert G. Heft as a project school. It was the 26th time the American flag was redesigned to reflect the new national realities.
It was originally no official flag of the United States when the Declaration of Independence was given on July 4, 1776. In the Revolutionary War, Great Union Flag was used as de facto flag, and the first official American flag was adopted in 1777 based on the flag of the Grand Union. The official flag first looked similar to the present flag, except that there were only 13 stars in a circle in the blue rectangle ..
Today, the American flag is a symbol of American values, American democracy, and the influence of America in the world. He is revered by most Americans, and America hated by enemies. But there is nothing vague about its design. We know the American flag when we see it, and we recall in U.S. history and nation.
