Question about adrenaline and the perception of time?
I heard about a study where they found that adrenaline can alter the perceptions of time. When someone is fear or anger, time seems to slow mental processes more into action, allowing quick and decisive responses to be made. They have even been able to document the change in the perception of time in some cases. When I heard this, he raised the question "Do we see all the time in the same way?" Can time travel at different speeds for different people, based on computing power of their brain? If there is a change in people's perception of time, can it be used to explain the athletic prowess? Is it possible that people particularly athletic, who can run faster, react faster, etc., have a perception slightly slower time giving them the benefit athletic? Just a thought. And if your answer is simply no, please expound that on some thoughts and perhaps the sources.
I was curious about it for a while, especially to take advantage of this in the arts martial. What I understand so far (from what I read and my own opinionated analysis of the subject) is the adrenaline speeds up metabolism and a faster metabolism allows more processes to occur over a period of time. Especially for this situation, respect for multiple instances is the result of increased metabolism. Athletes to observe that when the concentration at depth. I heard that the players baseball, they can see the laces of baseball when batting. I personally experienced when playing football (I saw the spiral ball in slow motion). There was a program on the Science channel where a man bungee jumping while trying to read a digital clock programmed to flicker so fast that it could not be read under normal conditions. The bungee jump was supposed to scare him to grasp this state where he could receive slow time. Initially, it was successful, but it stopped working after a while (of course he lost his fear of jumping the elastic). Also think about animals that have very high metabolisms, such as mosquitoes. How are they able to move in their flight paths so quickly? I personally believe that this is true and I try to find a way to exploit it by controlling my adrenaline release but this course has other undesirable side effects. There may also have some relationship to enter into a theta brainwave state, but it has been a while since I studied this subject. Here is a summary of a document may be helpful: I appreciate someone else's opinion on this subject because I am hoping to learn more.
